I’ve had this buyer blocked for several weeks, and I also have the setting enabled in my selling preferences that prevents blocked users from sending me messages.
However, in the My eBay: Selling Overview section, under Messages from buyers, a partial message from this blocked account is still appearing. Since the user is blocked, I can’t open the full message, which is expected.
My concern is that I shouldn’t be seeing anything from this account at all. Why is their message showing up in the Selling Overview when it does not appear in my actual Messages inbox, which is working correctly?
When I click “Reply” (the only available option, shown in the screenshot), it takes me to an empty inbox - as expected for a blocked account - but the message preview remains permanently visible in the overview.
Additional context: The buyer sent this message today, despite being blocked weeks ago, and the “don’t allow messages from blocked accounts” setting was already active before they attempted to contact me.
Is there any way to report this issue to eBay, or to remove the message from the Selling Overview? I’d prefer not to see it every time I access that section.
TL;DR Summary:
A blocked account has managed to send a message that partially appears in My eBay: Selling Overview (likely a bug).
I’d prefer not to see it every time I access that section.
Is there a way to report this to eBay or remove the message?
Thanks in advance.
