I’ve recently sold an item which was delivered by the currier and left ‘in a safe place’. The customer has gone to find it and is unable too. They have reported this issue which resulted in them NOT receiving a refund. The customer has now said it’s my issue to raise and that they’ve spoken to citizens advice and they will be making a claim to small claims court to try to get their money back. Any idea what I can do?

There's nothing you can do. eBay go by the tracking. Wait and see what happens. If the item was stolen from their safe place I doubt they would win a small claims court. But I'm guessing it's just a threat and they won't start one. They should report the theft to their local police.

If you used Ebay's Simple Delivery, then they will have refused the buyer's claim if the item shows as delivered. I am sure you understand the buyer's frustration - they have bought something and not received it and nobody will help them.
I know it is stressful to be threatened with court action but the law regarding safe delivery to a buyer, and a seller's responsibility, varies for businesses and private sellers.
You may choose to seek legal advice, or hope that the buyer is not serious about a legal claim, or refund the buyer.
