Thanks — that’s exactly the sort of workaround I was afraid of.
It seems unnecessarily complicated for private sellers who are simply trying to clear personal items from home rather than run a business!
Under the old system it was straightforward to adjust postage after sale if needed, but with Simple Delivery everything now feels very rigid and overcomplicated. Having to buy postage elsewhere, fill in refund forms, and wait for reimbursement just adds more hassle and uncertainty. Plus it adds 14 days to delivery of sale funds and complicates tracking.
It does make me wonder if these changes have really been designed with occasional (or even regular) private sellers in mind...
