Exactly that, it does indeed cause problems. eBay advised me to cancel the order, buyer automatically gets a refund, the item relists, the buyer can re-purchase. Except the experience put the buyer off and they did not repurchase. That's a sale lost thanks to eBay's wisdom. And I might get negative feedback.
