After battling with eBay's simple delivery system over the past few weeks to sell some items, I can honestly say that Simple Delivery is going to be the nail in the coffin for eBay.  I for one will no longer be selling on this platform.  eBay started out as a really great platform where buyers and sellers were free to communicate, as well as choose how items should be delivered. 
Now that all of that has been removed and eBay literally controlling everything, it's time to start looking at viable alternatives. 

The customer services team are utterly inept and having wasted so much time on live chat trying to resolve issues, I will be looking at other ways to sell any items I wish to part ways with.
Way to go eBay - after 25 years this is one more customer looking elsewhere to sell items.
