I can't remember which paper it was, but one of the nationals did a "real
world test" just before christmas, the test was of 5 glasses, each sent on
its own only in a little bubble wrap and a padded envelope, to the same
address, sent first class, special delivery, parcel48, DPD and evri, all
aimed to arrive by the 18th of december, first class arrived broken and 2
days late, special delivery guaranteed for the next day arrived 3 days late
and broken, parcel 48 was the only one that arrived on time and with the
glass intact, dpd glass broken and 2 days late, and the inestimally bad
evri? Not a clue, a week after the estimated arrival date there was still
no sign of the parcel!
