This is the first Monday in a very long time that I haven’t had a parcel to post. In fact views are way down…

I have noticed that sellers are fast disappearing from the category I mostly selling in.

So this is my view on EBay’s recent changes…

I don’t always agree with changes implemented but these latest changes haven’t affected me. If I was a private seller I could not be bothered with all the hassle to go through to make a sale.

So a lot of the people I know who buy/sell in my main category are of a certain age. They may have a home computer. They don’t have tablets or smart phones.

To me. List an item, sell it and post it at your own choice and get paid.
Now it’s list an item, sell it, no control over how you post it and get paid well after it’s delivered…

People are walking away.
Another post said new sellers would not be fazed by the new ways as they don’t know what it was like before but who is queuing up to join.

At the moment I feel like I’m hanging on by a thread….if the sellers are leaving, then so are the buyers. If the sellers are not selling, then they are not buying.

Im off to a couple of antique fairs at the weekend, one being Shepton mallet giant flea. Apparently the last one, was the biggest ever and we are talking of thousands of people.

Times are a changing. The boots are thriving, the fairs are getting bigger, more selling on marketplace and Facebook and online market places are shrinking and with it becoming less enjoyable to sell, and is EBay declining, yes I think it is…
