I agree entirely with your last paragraph.  I only sell on one other site which doesn't have any of the restrictions recently added on ebay.

By this time last year on the other site I'd sold 18 items, this year only 4.

On ebay last year I'd sold 2 items.  This year I didn't bother listing after my Christmas - New Year break after ending the year with only 4 sales.

On both sites last year, after (for me) starting well, sales went down hill for the rest of the year.  The other site nose-dived, managing only 10 sales in the following 8 months.

With the continuing freeze on tax allowances, increases in Council Tax and every necessity, my worst increase being a 52% rise from Southern Water.  People just haven't got money to spend on luxuries like collecting vintage glass.
