I'm buying far less on Ebay these days plus selling substantiallh less too. 

 

I suspect that many sellers just can't be bothered jumping through so many hoops so are leaving. 

 

Ebay used to be easy, direct and simple. You could receive payment by PayPal instantly and offer the postage or collection you wanted.

 

Now all that's changed. What's more, Ebay stopped people paying cash on collection out of fear they might lose commission. 

 

That puts a lot of people off. If I'm buying a second hand lawn mower or garden bench, I want to actually hand over the cash on the day to the seller after seeing it. 

 

No wonder lots of folk have wandered off to FB Marketplace or Gumtree. Ebay is losing all of that business just because they were worried about losing relatively small amounts of commission.
