All along eBay reassured me (took 5 weeks ) although the charge back was  financial institutions doing and it was completely out of their hands I would be protected by seller protection.

 

Once decision was settled against me they changed their tune and said the item 'not as described' and fell outside seller protection. I spoke to high leadership in eBay who just said read the seller protection guidance.

 

This seems such a grey area and loophole for anyone to do and claim to fraudulently claim and keep goods which my buyer did. 

 

I think as you right said needs lobbying to MPs press etc as it's such a un fair system
