Listing on eBay is a minefield.

Many say that starting items at the lowest price you are willing to accept is the best policy. I'm in there.

But you also have to consider the fees. A start price of 4.99 will cost you 20p - a start price of 5.00 costs 35p. I never saw any point in paying 15p to make a penny.

Books listed on ABE and other such sites as for sale at those prices you saw are just that - for sale. It could be that the price is why they aren't sold. Books often sell for a lot less on eBay, but can sometimes sell for a lot more.

Really it all depends on just what the goodies are and how many out there desire them sufficiently to part with money for them..
