I totally agree and like you, will always write my own descriptions. AI can only give a generic description of the item for sale, it knows nothing of your particular item's condition etc.
It just gives a flowery description of how great the manufacturer is, what great materials its made of and how something like a sink plunger will enhance your home. Had I known, I would have put mine on the mantlepiece for all to admire!
