I've been up since 3am this morning (woke up long-suffering hubby) as I was itching to get a head start. Somehow I knew it would be mini iPods. I've wanted a pink one for sooo long (no pun intended) but alas it seems it wasn't to be.
But I will be back,
Marie 🙂

well once again day two i was well off, maybe im too young for this, what the hell is crackerjack, never heard of it. day three started at midnight, ringing all my mates for help, and just randomly asking people on yahoo games. i stayed up until about 3 before retiring to bed. i woke up the next day at 10 to rejoin the hunt.
ipods were coming outta my ears, i needed to find them. the clue at the time being along the lines of "a liquid used with an ingredient". well i admit i got help, and went along the lines of brandy and cream. i searched google for any songs relating to those. well low and behold there was a band called cream (told you i was young). so i went searching for things belonging to them through ebay, and then i came acroos eric clapton, their lead singer. i opened a few listing but gave up, since i had been at it over an hour.
took a break and started afresh. then at 1 o'clock i learn that someone has won an ipod through a eric clapton search link. and the item was listed at 11.15, i was looking at eric clapton listing at 11.20. so many questions running through my head "why didn't i just look more?" was the main one. well congrats to the guy who did look more carefully, but at least now i know that i can crack these clues, and do have a chance of winning. that porsche is gonna b mine.
what can i say, i addicted to ebay all over again.

When I heard the ingredient "Brown Sugar", was convinced they'd use:
Brown Sugar > Rolling Stones > Mick Jagger > Jade Jagger > Jade jewelry
But no - wrong again.
Was mistaken about Sweetie Pie (Tweety Pie) and Sylvester - thought of Sly Stalone but thought there must be 1000's of Stalone items for sale.
And the
American Pie movie > Alyson Hannigan > Also in Buffy
led to massive Slayer listings.
Mince Pie -> I think I'm gonna die.

"Cromwell was convinced that pies were symbols of sexual peversion. This was picked up centuries later by Freud in his infamous 'pies and pussy' essay. Cromwell asserted that the makeup of a pie, and the process of eating it - of breaking the crust to devour the filling - was akin to 'penetrating an infected orafice'."
So imagine that you ebay guys would come across this, what kind of clue would you post???

I understand the idea of lateral thinking BUT where are all the clues?
It said 23 clues gone and one more to go ??
What on earth were the first 23?
Do I have to wait for each clue on the hour every hour?
When I find the 'phoney/winning' auction will I have to bid on it? or is it just a case of reading the description?
I've read what I can find on here but that doesn;t seem much - so if anyone can help please let me know.
Thanks
Josh

Conversation with fiance each night goes something like this:
Fiance: Are you finished with the computer yet?
ME: Nooooo, do I look like I'm finished (fingers bashing keys looking for necklace/car/i-pod)
F: But I want to check my emails
M: Tough, you'll just have to wait. I'm sure that this clue will lead me there, no hang on, it's not that so it must be this, hang on one min while I check the forums ... no, see, no one has found it yet, I might still win this
F: Look love, you've spend the last few days glued to e-bay. You not sold anything, bought anything, you've not even looked for those concert tickets I want
M: Concert tickets??? Concert tickets??? The concert is not till summer next year, what's the rush. This is really really important and I MUST find this prize.
After more hours searching...........
F: Are you coming to bed now?
M: Nooooo, they'll put another clue up in a minute, it changes at midnight. Oohhh look, a camcorder, we always said we wanted a camcorder didnt we babe?
F: Snore........ snore ........
M:
This Morning...
F: What time did you go to bed last night?
M: Oh, just after you, got the clue went to bed (Lie, lie, lie, I didnt get to bed till 4am and I STILL haven't won a carrot)
F: I'm off to work now, What you doing today then?
M: Xmas shopping, cleaning, the usual.
Fiance exits house, I fly upstairs like speedy gonzales and check out 8pm clue....
NOW WHERE IS THAT DAMN CAMCORDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

firstly - my sister is at work in the BMI call centre in Glasgow - they're all searching! I'm getting texts and phonecalls to let us know what they've looked up, or thought about.
Neighbours - giving them the clues in the morning, and just had my neighbours wee one run over to say "my mum said have you tried charles dickens?"
Yesterday, in work, i had 4 consultant plastic surgeons thinking laterally whilst they were operating - They know I'm an ebay addict, and had seen the hunt was on - even they're trying to help!
I'm not able to see the hints, so I'm popping back and forward to the discussion boards to see if they're posted here. This is great fun, and i'm getting the right answers, but just not looking for them at the right times... Good luck everybody! :-x Trace x
