It isn’t long to wait.
Christmas is a-coming
A most important date.

I love the crowded markets,
Ten-per-cent off early sales!
The buy-one-gift And get-one-free,
Those bargains on the rails!

But that’s not why I’m excited,
I wonder, can you guess?
It’s not the swirling snowflakes,
Nor the cards that I address.

It isn’t Rudolph’s RED nose,
Or Santa on his sleigh,
(I really must contain myself,
Or give the game away!)

It’s not the Ebay gatherings,
The twinkling fairy lights,
The food, The wine, The décor
Or frosty winter nights.

I feel you need the answer?
Here’s where my teasing stops.
I know that once it’s Christmas,
EASTER EGGS are in the shops!!!

SO MERRY CHRISTMAS, ONE AND ALL.
