I've got a theory about age - the ageing process is purely psychological.  If you don't let it bother you then you don't tend to age as fast.  When I first left school I was working with a woman called Cathy who looked as though she was in her late thirties, despite the fact that she was only twenty-eight years old!  One day when we were leaving work another woman who looked very much like Cathy pulled up in a convertible, got out of the car, said "Hiya babe!" and walked towards Cathy with her arms outstretched.  I turned to Cathy and said "Christ, your sister's well hot!" to which she replied "That's not my sister - that's my mother!"  Then she turned away abruptly and quickly stormed off, her high heels making a "clip-clop" type of sound like a horse trotting off at a fast pace...
