Calling all eBay Super-Buyers! Your help is needed...

Unusual request: we are currently doing a bit of reasearch into buyer's behaviour and want to talk to people who buy a lot on eBay, but don't sell. The research might be either by phone or in a focus group.

We want to know more about who these "super-buyers" are and what more could be done to encourage them to stay loyal and happy and buying!

Erm...I only buy...but 50 items would hardly qualify me as a 'super buyer'! I'll stay loyal as long as I can find different Piglet items to clutter my house with!

I think Henry should organise this focus group regardless of our less-than-super buying record. Then we board members have an excuse to meet up!!

Serious thought: maybe it is us longer term smaller buyers who need studying as we will probably hang around all the time. Exceptionally heavy buyers might be working through a bad patch in their lives and stop shopping when they get things sorted. (ok generalisation there, I know, so hope noone takes offence, but I certainly shopped more when feeling low - which was before discovering eBay!)

I've got feedback of 155 on my other ID, so does that count as a Super-Buyer? I'm super, anyway, lol.

My husband and I (posh, eh?)buy loads on the same ID, but I have only listed items for sale twice, and that was for our son!!

I'd love to chat, especially if it's on the pc - "will you do dinner, darling? I have an important meeting with ebay" - pmsl !!!! Good excuse to hog the comp!!!!

I also have been a long-term buyer (on the other id) and have only very recently started selling (3 items!). I think I've bought about 65 things so wouldn't have thought that made me a super-buyer. But I'd be happy to join in any survey.

What makes a Super-Buyer? Isn't it possible to be one of them if you sell too?

On my other ID I have 157 feedback just from sellers - and most say I'm fast!!! ;)

im on 131 for buyer feedback but 260 for selling so i guess im more of a super seller than a super buyer

I only buy items off Ebay and have no plans to set up a sellers account.

I have 4 other ID's that I use to buy items and would be happy to explain why I have had to set up and use these.

My guess is that ebay are trying to research why some users buy lots but don't move on to become sellers (fee payers).

I wouldnt say I was a "super Buyer" more a slow regular one!
I dont sell much - I find it too expensive what with listing fees, end of auction fees and paypal fees. - I get more if I sell at the boot fair and its less hassle.B-)

My other half and I have only just started buying from Ebay, but find it's better and more fun(sad ah) than going to town for them. My husband calls me a super shopper so maybe I'll just transfer all that energy to Ebay now!

Feedback of 300,probably be closer to 400 if everyone left feedback ]:)

probably be closer to a 1000 if i hadn`t found the boards LOL

Would prefer chatting online rather than phone though as have a baby who always creates when the phone rings,also i tend to get a brainblock when on the phone and think of things to say after the call has ended ...DOH!!
