I think a raffle with proceeds going to childrens
charities is a great idea

Auctions are ok but your then cutting out lots of genuine & willing people that will not be able to put up £100's.

Many more people will be able to buy & participate if you sell tickets for £1, hopefully resulting in a far bigger money pot for the charity/chaities.
