Stu it was actually alot easier to use, and the RAW files didnt need so much work in CS4 as the Nikon do
TBH i think alot of it is names designer cameras but i have been to weddings where guest have had a better camera then me,
the answer is its not the camera its how you use it
over all the handling was nice, it feels sturdy in your hands, write to card was the same as my D300
although the pentax takes the smaller SD or SDHC cards
it can shoot 21 fps which is more then my Nikon
it had no fringing on images
it has live view and expanded dynamic range
as its built of stainless steal then its fine to use in rain or snow although like all cameras i would use a plastic camera rain coat for sea side use, these retail for £4.99 and can be reused
probably better picture quality as didn't need so much processing
It would be so nice if shops for a small deposit did a try before you buy scheme
