Here's one I finished a couple of weeks ago.
This one was unplanned - when I was doing the house one for Leo our daughter made a loud noise just as I was getting the blue paint out of the tube to do the sky and I suddenly found myself with far too much blue paint on the palette!
Needing to think very quickly ( being unwilling to waste the excess paint! ) I had to find a subject that needed lots of blue; a ship at sea was the obvious choice. I don't really like doing unplanned pictures as I like to know in detail what I am going to be doing before I start, but needs must in this case!
So, having been started in a hurry it doesn't actually represent any real ship, it does however include a lot of features that would place it in the late 1920s / early 1930s.
It is 14 x 10 inches in size.
And no, it isn't sailing uphill - the photo is slightly crooked and I couldn't straighten it up completely; it was done on a borrowed camera so I'm stuck with this image for now.....
