PUT THE S8000 DOWN AND STEP AWAY.

Unless you really know the ins and out of the camera the S8000 is a real bitch to work with, they made a very good camera and then put a very poor grade sensor chip in it. My one ended up in the bin after i stamped on it. For every 100 photos that camera took i would end up with about 15 i could use, the Fuji S5500 would be th eopposite way round, for every 100 that takes i only throw away about a dozen at the most.

I can not condemn the S8000 enough, you really do need to be a semi pro to get average shots out of that camera.
