Shallow fried rainbow trout - not bad, either.  Only £2.40 from Sainsburys and you know exactly what you're cooking.  Can have tartare sauce with it, but good enough to eat on it's own.  It's a very sweet tasting fish.  Whiting on the other hand tends to  have a muddy flavour.  Might try a little bit of broccoli with it.  I have to get them to head and tail it though otherwise my daughter goes all silly when she sees it in the pan (roll eyes).
