Well.... it was quite windy; a few times I could feel the study shaking when the gusts hit but not much damage in this area; a few slates, fence panels and the odd chimney pot or two in pieces on the ground, but that's it.  Even our empty wheely bins stayed put although our TV aerial has rotated on the mounting and is now hanging down ( still firmly fixed ) like the aerial of Damocles.  Funnily enough we haven't noticed any difference in the picture quality, so we will just leave it for now and get it re-mounted when the local builder bloke is next available.

Meanwhile, news is coming in that a heavily loaded cargo sleigh has crashed on take off in the Arctic...
