I flew on a DC-3 once ( 23rd September 1990 ) which had wicker seats, ribbed bare metal fuselage sides inside with no insulation or padding whatsoever, the windows were squares of perspex bolted on, the lighting system was bare tungsten bulbs run along the top of the cabin, bags were under your seat and the PA systm was a stewardess holding a megaphone. The flight lasted 1h40.
Great fun.
