What would you do in this situation?

Driving home tonight I was on a two lane, one way road the formed the tail of a T-Junction. I stopped and a Police car drove across from my right. I then turned left and followed the police car. We are still on a 2 lane, one way road with the Police car about 30 yards in front and both of us doing about 25 mph as we approach a complicated traffic light system. At this time, the Police car is driving in such a way that he is 3/4 of the way into the right hand lane. But not being the trusting sort, I hang back a bit. Good job too, because as we got close to the lights, he swung over to the left lane. Once through the lights we are into a three lane road which branches three ways about 150 yards ahead. Left lane goes into a shopping centre, middle lane MUST go straight ahead and right lane MUST turn right. So now this guy is half in the left lane and half in the middle lane. I'm a bit wary by now and hang back to make sure which way he is going to go when we get to the lights and he has to make a choice. While holding the same half and half position on the road, he drove straight up the middle. I followed and the next obstacle was a mini roundabout. There was no traffic in sight so he just drove straight across. We are now driving up a hill with him at the front followed by me and then 3 other vehicles behind me. So what does the Police driver do? He stops to let another vehicle out of a side road on the right.

It is at this point that I turned off to go home.

There is one thing that I am sure of. If the roles were reversed and it was me in front and the Police car following me, I would have been pulled over and told to "Breathe into this, please, Sir"

So what would you do?

Report it to the local Police station.

Report it to the head boy at Lancashire Police HQ

Send it to my MP, Jack Straw

Something else.

Just forget it.
