Politicians....Ah well ....they all promise the earth and only deliver the dirt!

i agree with Billy Connelly ...who echoed Spike Milligan...

the very desire to be a politician should ban you for life from ever being one..... Don't vote for them ....it only encourages them!

Makes me laugh when I hear them talking about how healthy our economy is.....yeah ...unfortunately the majority of the population don't actually benefit from it! The divide between the rich and the poor is not only growing but is well out of kilter.....with more people being plunged into poverty daily! Where energy bills from privatised utility companies mean that in many households decisions have to be made between eating or keeping warm. Kids growing up with nutritional conditions like ricketts. More youngsters facing long term unemployment from the day they leave school or college. Shortage of affordable housing and people living on the streets. Lack of care and facilities for disabled. An NHS supporting the employment of thousands of non medical and unnecessary staff who would rocket unemployment numbers into the stratosphere if they were allowed to sack them......at the same time there are chronic shortages of nurses, doctors, equipment and ward closures because the NHS can't afford them...because they are behaving to fork out for all the dead wood...which is fine if you have medical insurance and can afford got go private! A professional defence force being systematically destroyed and replaced by cheapo part timers who like playing soldiers at weekends! Ships undermanned and new equipment not fit for purpose. Pubs closing daily stopping social interaction which some politicians and police think is good because people meeting and talking about the state of the country could be classed as subversive.

Of course it's not all bad....but it's hard to enjoy the humiliation of poverty....having wealth and privilege flaunted in your face....as the song says....

If I hadn't seen such riches I could live with being poor!

i actually think I am very lucky...I might not have material wealth but I do have my integrity. One day it will all come home to roost...history has proved that...
