why the cops only wounded these murderers is beyond me, they should have used lethal force on the two attackers. this would have saved the country a packet in legal proceedings. I just wonder if a charge of treason would be brought if they had attacked a royal in the same way?

That one is simple.

The armed police in this country are trained to hit the body, the intent is to stop not kill.

The only near guaranteed kill shot is a head shot - which is a harder target.

That said, a body shot often kills, or causes serious injury due to the fact that there are so many important organs that can be hit.
