As someone who's posted on this thread for 12 years, I think I'm more than qualified to say which direction the thread has developed over time. The OP, a very good ebay friend, died some years back so unfortunately he can't express an opinion now.

When the thread first started, there were all sorts of words put forward and there were many comments expressing an opinion as to what the thread was about along with many posts which had absolutely no relevance to what had been posted before. After the initial furore, the thread developed in to what it is now, that is, a (supposdly) fun thread where, after a word is posted, the following poster thinks of a word which can either follow or precede the last word. If someone doesn't want to do that and wants to follow their own agenda, OK, post away or start a new thread but the few word thread posters now left may well follow their choice, not consider that post and may revert to the preceding word.
