...Christine, of that ilk.  It's not odd at all - Helensburgh (where she comes from) is a small town on the coast just north-west of Glasgow. People develop weird fixations on folk they see on telly, and the lassie probably doesn't want her parents bothered by weirdos hovering about their front door; so keeps them out of the so-called limelight.   - Acting is just another job like any other; but there are folk out there that seem to think once a face is well-known, it's public property.
