Tried to reply to your post about the stairlift - but system does not let me - just wanted to offer support.

I would not like or trust that company anywhere near my home ( or the home of a possibly vulnerable old person)  to put in a stair  lift or anything else! 

If their work is anything like thier Customer Service, then you have had a lucky escape?
