Unfortunately Erich is a lovely chap, but his calculations in "Chariots of the Gods" are far from accurate. 

He does make some interesting points, as others do, but history is not as precisely understood as some historians would like us to believe. So, it leaves much room for interpretation and even more room for speculation.

Take the Greeks, half of their history is mixed with mythology, trying to make sense of that is near impossible.
