Why I am wearing a mask -
đ” I am educated enough to know that I could be asymptomatic and still give you the virus.
đ” No, I donât âlive in fearâ of the virus; I just want to be part of the solution, not the problem.
đ” I donât feel like the âgovernment is controlling meâ any more than when I wear a seat belt, don't drink and drive, obey the speed limit, or stop at a red light.
đ” The world doesnât revolve around me. Itâs not all about me and my comfort.
đ” If we all followed these simple steps - wash your hands, maintain a social distance and wear a face mask, the virus could be under control, and businesses back open.
đ” Wearing a mask doesnât make me weak, scared, stupid, or even âcontrolled.â It makes me considerate.
đ” Rather than thinking about yourself - how you look, how uncomfortable it is, or what others may think of you; instead just imagine someone close to you - your child, your father, your mother, your aunt, your uncle, your grandparent - choking on a respirator, alone without you or any family member allowed at their bedside...
Copied and posted.
Can you do the same?
Wearing a mask is NOT political. Itâs supporting public health!

You say elsewhere that people should stay away from you. Well how are they going to be sure that you haven't breathed, coughed etc on an item in a supermarket.?
I think it is quite understandable that many people think that those who won't wear a mask because they don't like to be told what to do, are selfish. What is the big deal about wearing a mask in a shop or supermarket? Its just a few minutes that can help to protect those around you.
Neither do I have patience with those who think it is a world conspiracy to microchip us via a vaccine, and become evangelical about it. Not saying that anyone on here is doing that but I am aware of local people who spout utter nonsense to anyone they can get to listen. The same people use smartphones that 'know' exactly where they are and gather information about them but they don't seem bothered about that.
Its funny how the conspiracy theorists and the anti-maskers change their view when they get really sick with covid. Plenty of examples of them to be found on the net.
Just because they don't happen to know anyone who has died yet, doesn't mean that it isn't a very serious virus for those whose immune systems react poorly or badly to it.

If I have any health issues I shall seek help if and when required as I always do, which is thankfully very rarely.
