Well now, Petal is alive and amongst us? ![]()
In Iceland this morning and a girl told me they'd had a lorry load yesterday morning and by 3:30 they'd all gone.
It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.
Live long and prosper.

Its all well and good saying the manufacturer can make as much as is needed, but not much help if the supermarkets dont buy it

One good thing is that there will be no sport on TV for the foreseeable future.👏👏👏...unless they start showing old matches to give the sports addicts their fix. I am particularly happy that horse racing is cancelled for a while. Last year 173...yes! ..173...horses died during competitive horse races. A scandal...if you or I killed a horse we would be put in jail. Funny how large gatherings will soon be banned...after Cheltenham has been allowed to take place.🤔

Not a sport fan then? A few people have been annoyed that their programmes have been put off so the racing could be shown instead.
I went past Lidl early this morning and the car park was packed and there was a queue outside Home Bargains waiting for them to open!

No CeeDee...I'm not a sports fan. Sport dominates all TV channels......it's so boring. But I am surprised to see that there is actually racing taking place, and on TV. My OH is a horse racing fan, so when its on I have to leave the room. We have some quite heated 'discussions' about it! I can't bear to watch it.

Every cloud has a silver lining - if this seasons Premier League is abandoned it will save us from a potential relegation.

I'm not a sports fan either and find it very convenient that now that the 'sport of kings' has finished, in will come the mass gatherings ban. There was an 'expert' on tv over a week ago saying that if you can smell what someone has had for lunch (garlic, curry etc.,) then you are also breathing in their germs/spores. I dread to think of the contamination of all those racegoers who were cheering their horse on.
There was going to be four hours of BBC 1 prime time Saturday night tv given over for Rugby and Football. Hopefully that will be cancelled.

Funny how a thread about bog paper has turned in to a thread about sports? ![]()

And maybe the virus won't cull any more than other illnesses, but I can understand how some fear may build up for those in a vulnerable category and living alone. Not amused to be bumped off by a teeny inanimate virus when there is so much more still to do! There's that sense of 'something is coming' which produces a sense of foreboding in people.
Media hype is stirring it for sure, but Governments are having to be seen to take it very seriously.
And it is a big worry for people with small businesses like pubs and restaurants that depend on people socialising, or on tourism etc.
Billions may be lost to the economy, but for sure the pharma and supplement manufacturers, loopaper, mask and sanitizer makers are laughing all the way to the bank 🙄
