Saddened, but relieved.
Sad because at heart I think a united Europe is a great idea, but not in the undemocratic form that exists at the moment. So I reluctantly voted to leave.
Relieved because the Remainers have had their second referendum and cannot now legitimately block the process any longer. But even more so because so many voters expressed their anger at Parliaments efforts to reverse the referendum result despite promising to uphold it. I hope that Labour and the Lib Dems learn the lesson. That the majority of voters value democracy above tribal loyalty and if they want to stand any chance of being elected they should listen to the people, not the Westminster bubble.
Perhaps it has taught the electorate something as well. That by voting for what they want, not what the tribal leaders decide that they should have, they can get it.
