Parcel that I sent bt post office arrived with items broken inside

  • Advice please.
  • Sent a parcel which arrived with recipient with items inside damaged.
  • Haven't didcussed refund or return yet with recipient.
  • Should I refund or tell them to claim compensation themselves?
  • If parcel returned can I then claim compensation from post office?
