I suppose some take delight in resurrecting an old thread as they're incapable of starting a new one?

Anyway, although the clocks have only just "gone back", the gritters were around here, I've just been for a walk round and the sand/salt's all over the roads and footpath. The ground will have been far "too warm" for ice to develop on the roads, waste of time and money. When the snow's here, there'll be no sign of any gritters.
