Ah yes the days of the BR Buffet🥴 Not a vegan sausage roll in sight, did you ever try the tea, I swear to god it had never seen an Indian tea plantation, although many of the steam engines had wonderfully colonial names like Kholapur, Assam and Hyderabad to name three! The sandwiches were a national disgrace and the Cornish pasties required the assistance of a kango hammer in order to break through the otherwise impenetrable crust, on the up side they did carry a fine range of craft ales like the ill conceived long life, Double Diamond and shandybass, yes indeed those were the days😀
