Few cannot have noticed the criticism of our media, they are accused of blatant bias particularly by those on the left who seem to be the only ones who read the tabloids! This is far from the whole story though, the BBC is openly targeted along with sky news etc etc indeed the only news outlets that appear to be accepted are Russia Today and Sputnik? We have had little information on the progress of the Salisbury investigation and none on the Dhouma investigation which resulted in the French, British and US bombing strategic locations. Instead all seems to be played out on social media with many spending hours posting stories that we have no way of knowing whether they are true or not. Yesterday saw the arrest and imprisonment of Tommy Robinson for violating the rules of court a problem which he had already been warned about, yet there remain those who question what he was trying to achieve and why it was deemed necessary to go to such lengths which could lead to him being placed in considerable danger! If anything were to happen to him whilst he is held in custody it could prove even more inflammatory than the crimes he is alleged to have committed. Surely the time has come for us to have an open and frank discussion on what constitutes a hate crime, what is the deep state, what is white privilege, whether there is the level of corruption within our society that many claim and from a personal point of view why we must keep growing our population at an uncontrollable level! Would you be prepared to pay a bit more tax to improve our nhs? I would providing it went on front line services, Would you like to see less rough sleeping? I would as long as they recognised their role in society and started to contribute accordingly.
Everything about modern society smacks of conflict black on black, white on white, Muslim on Christian. Young on Gammon! And so on! Why can’t we map out a way forward that embraces our heritage, acknowledges about past misdemeanours and allows our society to interact socially and on a working level with pride, a society where jealousy is abandoned in favour of opportunity, where compassion for the elderly and lonely becomes the norm, is it really down to the behaviour of a our failing press or is it more to do with our own personal aspirations? I don’t know any more!!!!
