Sorry to hear about Inspector Blakey but if he was born in 1926, how does that make him 88?

The 'Comedians Comedian' KEN DODD

Passed away yesterday aged 90, after many  months of fighting chest illnesses

including 2 mths spent in Hospital at the back end of last year

He like others of His trade fought the Black Dog all His life,

only really half, admitting this after gaining His Knighthood

Also like loads of our TV Comedians, a lot funnier,

in front of a live audience of real fans, that His TV persona was.

He also had 4 Top Ten singles including a  Number 1 - Tears

(Biggest selling 1965 single, outselling even the Fab Fours, 7" HELP)

A good innings

How Tickled We Were

A true legend who never had to be filthy or use bad language to get a laugh.

Goodness me, it's only a week or so since he left hospital? He seemed quite chatty then? He was in Broad Green hospital (LH & C), same place as me.

Funny man who would not have benefited from teeth braces😀 How tattyfelorious he was, good innings though RIP

I do regret never having seen one of his live shows.  He's been constantly funny all through our lives and his jokes never age.  He can still be seen occasionally on BBC 4s 'The Good Old Days'.

R.I.P. Doddy - will forever be much missed

When I just told my husband that Ken Dodd had died, his reply was "Didhe?"

The old ones are the best. Smiley Very Happy

RIP Ken Dodd.

We seem to be losing the Greats, who will take their place ?

Stephen Hawkings  (76) death was announced at 4am, by his family

One of the Top minds ever to be on this planet,

He put out ideas, that even the best Physicists had to learn whole new concepts,

just to catch a glimpse, of where Hawking was on the subject

His name will live with Newton - can't really improve on that

Nothing can escape a Black Hole - except 'Hawking Radiation' a fitting legacy

He had a wicked sense of Humour, which came out,

on His appearances on the Big Bang Theory & The Simpsons

A GIANT

Stephen Hawking, a giant among men. A brilliant mind, and a lesson to us all that we should never judge by appearance. My favourite Hawking quote...'It is not necessary to invoke God to light the blue touch paper and set the Universe going'. I think CeeDee will like that!

A very sad day for us all.
