A STUDENT has been accused of sparking a huge rescue costing more than £100,000 after it was claimed he jumped into a raging river in a scuba suit - then went to the pub.
A massive air and river search involving up to 50 rescuers was launched after reports Moray Finlay, 20, fell into the torrent of flood water from a tree at the height of Thursday's rain storms.
Police, two fire services, two helicopters, the RNLI, coastguard AND the world-renowned International Rescue Corps were scrambled in the frantic four-hour search of the River Carron in Camelon, Stirlingshire.
Wrap chains around him and throw him back inX-(
