hi cd, i was only using the flat pack build as an easy way that everyone could understand, yes we do take tentative steps one at a time, and i agree we can never go from the brick mobile phone to the samsung galaxy smart phone in one jump, but there again just how do the inventors do their stuff, do they simply invent blindly or do they do it by trial and error, bit by bit.

we have come a long way since lighting the blue touch paper to plasma drives, our engines are getting better.

E =MC2 (squared) is an equation, part of which (C) depicts the Hubble Constant (the rate of or speed of the galaxies receeding from us, and us from them). if its found to be incorrect then maybe just maybe interstellar flight will be possable. as yet they cannot exactlly  cofirm what the rate of C is.
