Flat packs are one thing Pete but Space Travel is on a different level.

Like I said about the mobile phone, you can't skip a step and suddenly go from the bricks to the iPhone.

The steps required several stages and several different technologies, least of which was battery technology coupled with the lower power requirements of improved circuitry/devices. There was no way of jumping a stage and so it will be with Space Travel.
