If you sell something, and say, UK postage £3.00. Johnnie foreigner can bid and they can see how much extra shipping would cost them through the GSP based on yer £3.00 shipping. if they win, ebay then add their charges on to the invoice.

once they pay, you send yer item to a UK distribution centre with a unique ref number from ebay, and ebay sorts out all customs etc and sends it on to foreign parts, while keeping you informed at various stages of shipping.........(though it does take ages for them to arrive at final destination)
