I had to laugh at an article in the Guardian vociferously complaining that the existence of a trace of tallow is an example of shiftiness in a lust for profit. Within the article was this quote,
Veganism, as defined by the Vegan Society, is a bid “to exclude, as far as is possible and practicable, all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose”.
If all the £5 notes now in circulation, some 329 million, were the new ones with the tallow, the total amount of tallow used in their manufacture, would come from just a little over half a cow.
I think that as far as is possible and practicable would more than cover that. Storm in a raindrop springs to mind.
Parents of young, organic life forms are warned that towels can be harmful if swallowed in large quantities.
