Very true.  The establishment want us to be In and have done everything they can to prevent any sort of popular vote on the subject.

The people who really run things are always un-democratic, always pulling the strings behind the scenes.  Not only can I not remember any of the MEPs who were meant to represent me I can't remember any MEP canvassing public opinion on any issue within the EU.  They are just another department in the EU bureaucracy, there to give a veneer of democracy to a bureaucratic state.
