Anyone see Jeremy Paxman's TV programme on BBC last night, regarding Brussels ? If I was undecided, I certainly am not now. A megalithic conglomeration of buildings covering an area the size of a small town, full of insignificant nobodies, all entrenched in bureaucratic and inane nonsense. Lots of kissy kissy, champagne, canapè and caviar buffets, jollies and jauntings, shuffling and moving around of papers, the traipsing up and down of corridors (and not even a clip-board in sight), and no doubt all of these thousands of ant-like comedy characters on a monthly salary that would choke a Tyrannosaurus.

What a bunch of self-important, self-elected, self-governing, and prehistoric fossils. The feeling of claustrophobia was overwhelming.

Out, out, out, by the nearest available exit !
