You are right Lynda, I don't see an open door policy as the way forward, I do believe that there are many people caught up in disputes that are as much of our making as their own. As such we need to persuade the politicians that there are other ways, people need to feel safe within their own borders wherever they may be, as moderately intelligent beings we ought to be capable of dealing with that and dealing with bigots, despots, hate preachers, racists and fanatics. Nothing will be acheived by turning a blind eye and pretending we can hide.
