Voyager 1 is now 12,430,200,000 miles from Earth, an astonishing distance? (It'll soon be way further out making that distance incorrect)

Amazing they can still communicate with it but taking in to consideration the time it takes to get a message to it, it just shows you that the speed of light is far too slow for travelling any great distance in Space?
