Hi Harry heart   Yes, I'm OK thanks and no she didn't suffer at all - it was sudden and quick.

I heard her cry in the hall and she had collapsed so I lifted her onto her dog bed.  She was breathing very heavy but didn't seem frightened, and I stroked her until her breathing slowed and then stopped.  She was gone in about 20 minutes.

That was so much easier for me not having to make the vet decision like I have had to before and I think a good end for her too.

I miss her of course as she was my constant companion, but have happy memories of her and the muddy times we had on the marshes.

I've just said no to a friend's springador puppy. I'm not ready for another dog yet - need a gap I think.  But I may get one (another springer or a springador) in a few months or several months time - if the right one shows up.

All that we are is what we have thought.
