What a sensational scoop by the SUN newspaper, Yes that Bastion of British Journalism has done it again. 

Somehow they managed to obtain a film of the Queen with her parents and sister at Balmoral more than 80 years ago. They are shown briefly doing a Nazi salute. They appeared to be messing about, having a laugh but there is no soundtrack to confirm one way or another.

Questions are now being raised about the moral loyalty of The Queen Mother and King George VI. They also, by association, question the motives of a 6 year old who has reigned this country since 1952.

So what are the SUN trying to prove? I suspect it's a simple case of free publicity but the reality is that it underpins the tabloid as one of the worst examples of journalistic garbage ever to hit the newsagents.
