Creeky, all you need to do is tell them you are a Buddhist. Or maybe put a big Buddha next to your front door. It works.

My mum has had an interest in the Bible all her life and whoever came to the door preaching was invited in for a coffee and a chat.

She always told them she would never join any of them. She never did.

She has two good friends, which are JW. They visit her just for a chat and brew and so now and then when my mum has certain questions they will tell her what their teachings say about it. They totally accept that she will never become a JW. They know they would waste their time as my mum has had good contacts with other JW throughout her life.

She is also part of another group, I think it's called the Alpha group, which is much more free than most. The JW friends know about that and have no problem with it. It's the same in all religions, some are more fanatical than others.
